WSUN loses funding

by Louise Rendle | 19th April 2018

We would like to inform all our members and supporters that we were unsuccessful in our recent bid for the new Community Service Engagement contract for Wiltshire Council and the Clinical Commissioning Group. Our current contract and funding will therefore end on 31st May, 2018. The new contract has been awarded to Wiltshire Centre for Independent Living (WCIL).
We know this may be very upsetting for some, as many members have been with WSUN from the beginning and have been instrumental in our achievements.  We thank you for your support. Wiltshire Service Users’ Network has been working for the last 26 years to ensure our members’ voices are heard by those designing and providing local health and social care services, helping to implement change and improve your quality of life. For these reasons, the Management Committee and staff are doing their best to try to maintain WSUN, by looking at other funding options and services. Some of our existing services may change or stop, but we will work hard to ensure your voices continue to be heard. We will do our best to keep you informed of our progress and how you can be involved. If you have any queries, please do not
hesitate to get in touch.
