Outreach worker for the Wiltshire Autism Hub – 16 hour Post – Salary £9,886.00 per year

Are you looking for a new and exciting role? Do you have an understanding of the unique challenges faced by people on the spectrum and recognise that autism is not always accompanied by a learning disability?

As an Outreach Worker for the Wiltshire Autism Hub you will work with autistic people across Wiltshire. You will be experienced in supporting people in a personalised way, both on a one to one basis in a mentoring role as well as in a group setting such as a support group. You will have excellent communication/interpersonal skills and be able to work flexibly, prioritising your workload effectively. You will be supporting people in a variety of ways including benefits advice, housing, training and employment. (This role does not involve personal care). You will be expected to manage a caseload.

This is a role where no two days are ever the same and you will need to think creatively to solve problems and overcome challenges.

You will have knowledge and experience of in working in partnership with organisations and services across Wiltshire.

The Wiltshire Autism Hub is a new project and is Funded by the National Lottery through the National Lottery Community Fund

Applicants must have use of their own car as you will be working with people across Wiltshire, for which mileage expenses will be paid.

Worker will need to work flexibly, to meet the needs of the post, some evenings may be required and occasional weekend work.
