West Wilts Credit Union – Partner in the Wiltshire Community Bank

What is a credit Union – A Credit union is a  community based saving and loan cooperative run by and for its members.  Members save for a period of 10 weeks and can then apply to borrow up to twice the amount of their savings.  Credit unions are regulated by the Financial Services Authority.  Surplus profits are paid back to members in the form of a dividend or as agreed at the annual general meeting.

Why join a Credit Union – Your savings are covered by a government compensation scheme.  Save as much as you wish when you can.  Saving provides a buffer against unexpected bills.  Budget accounts available to spread regular bills. Loans can be flexible to meet your ability to pay.
